When I was born, my family had a new puppy named Bucky. We grew up together, the two of us exploring the nearby countryside for countless hours. Since then, I have always had dogs in my life. My wife Yvonne and I enjoy sharing our home with new dogs. We offer a loving environment to dogs whose families are away. We will treat your dog just as we do our own, 24/7. We don't have regular jobs. We just hang out with our dogs all day, every day. Our ongoing goal is to take dog boarding to a higher and more personal level. Depending on what they are interested in, we can take our four-legged friends on frequent walks or runs. Shasta, our 12-year-old lab, gets along with everyone. We spend a lot of time around the Arbutus Greenway, Oak Park, Mackie Park and Fraser River Park. We live in a big house with a fenced yard on the Oakridge / Marpole boundary. The dogs have the run of the house and yard. Dogs are welcome on sofas, chairs, and, of course, laps. We are just seven minutes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and 25 minutes from Tsawassenn Ferry Terminal.. We are non-smokers. We like to think of our walks as adventures. We always find an off-leash park for lots of fun stick and ball throwing, as well as general romping around and being goofy. Of course, we can always work in a swim for those who are so inclined. You are welcome to visit us before making a decision as to where you will board your dog. If we are considering any other doggie guests at the same time (which we usually are), we will do whatever we can to get everyone together in advance, to let the dogs get to know each other a little in advance.
24/7 care for dogs - experienced dog lovers. Husband and wife team. We had a chow chow from a puppy to a ripe old age of 14.5 years old. I learned alot about training, grooming and brushing for sure! We have a doggy bath tub and some basic grooming tools but we are primarily offering vacation coverage for pet care and boarding. We have references. My husband and myself both have CANINE FIRST AID certification. We can be available on fairly short notice ( 2 day advance booking would be appreciated). Basic grooming is free with stays of 2 weeks or more.

Hi there! My partner, Rob and I are both animal loving people that wants to have a dog, but aren't ready for the long term commitment just yet. We live in Olympic Village and often go for walks in the evening. I often work from home as a Financial Advisor and I have a very flexible schedule. Between Rob and I, we can make sure one of us are home when we are watching your doggie. We have both always had pets in our life. I used to have a Maltese for 12 years, who passed away 2 years ago. Rob grew up with cats but he watched and took care of his best friends dog for 10 years. Now we have a sweet disabled kitty that gives us cuddles every morning! We will make sure to keep our kitty separate from your dog when we are not home (our kitty will be in our bedroom with the door closed). That being said, we would like to know the nature of your dog as our kitty can be quite skiddish. We are often asked to watch our friends dogs whenever they are out of town. A typical day your dog would have while with us: 8am - morning walk with your dog 9-11am - work from home 12pm - afternoon walk with your dog - go to the dog park that is around the corner 1-7pm - chill at home or work from home 8pm - evening walk Please note that your dog must be house trained!! We love dogs and would take good care of your baby.

If you are away for a weekend and need someone to look after your dog/s - then choose me! I'm up for all activities - whether your dog loves camping, jumping in lakes, trail running, snow shoeing, making friends in parks, or chilling in coffee shops. I absolutely love dogs, so I can 100% guarantee your dog will be fully loved and looked after whilst you are away. I've included pictures of my 2 spaniels (Holly & Daisy), who live in the UK. These two are as crazy as they come, and i'm used to all of the challenges they bring. Whether it's jumping in/rolling in/eating gross things, dealing with issues with other dogs, or simply keeping up their training, I've done it all before. Some notes - I live in an apartment, so if your dog needs constant exercise (like Holly & Daisy), they'd be more suited to a bigger place. I also work full time, so can only provide weekend entertainment.

Occasionally, I may host dogs from different families - please let me know if your dog(s) would prefer to be the only one hosted.
Hi My name is Nic and I emigrated to Canada in 2014, of course bringing my beloved Labrador Ben with me! Having worked all my life with people, and having a fulfilling and rewarding career, there comes a time in everyone's life when they wonder if their passion could become more of their everyday life. Dogs have always been a passion of mine. I am enjoying the senior years of my third Labrador and the sight of a wag at the river with his grey beard makes my heart smile. I was fortunate recently to have a spell working with dogs full time. From this I gained valuable knowledge on dog body language and how effective positive reinforcement can be to establish a loving trusting bond between a dog and his human friend. I also appreciated how important play and affection are to them. Working with Labradors and kids with Autism, I also know how powerful the bonds can become and how separation can affect both canine and human. We recently adopted a 12 year old Lab from the SPCA who has found his niche in our loving home. My idea of heaven is a cuddle, a good scamp in the forest or by the lake, some play and some rest with my doggy friend. I appreciate different personalities and needs of our canine companions. I promise a stay with me would leave them excited to come back!! Feel free to reach out to me to discuss your individual needs. I have some flexibility.
Hi! I'm Jess. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and am comfortable around any type of dog. I have experience in dog training and obedience courses. I have a lot of dogsitting experience whether the dog has stayed at my house or I've gone to theirs. I am very adaptable to suit your dogs needs, whether they need to be run or they need to saunter down the sidewalk. I have had a dog in my family my entire life, I have raised puppies and trained dogs to be able to do tricks and simple walking techniques. I enjoy dogs that need a little extra time and practice as well as maintaining other well trained dogs! If you simply just need your dog to be looked after and walked, I most certainly can do that! I like to make sure that the dog owner's mind is at ease with their loved one(s) staying with me, so I prefer to set up meet & greets and will send updates and photo's of their pets during their stay.

Hello! My name is Courtney and I am a Registered Nurse. I live in the Vancouver area with my husband. I have 20+ years of experience with dogs and other pets! I do work part time - so please check with me in regards to day care for days that I am available to hang with your pup all day! Hi there! My name is Shay, and I'm a 23 year old working professional who has a long distance relationship with her dog Sully back in Ontario. Growing up I have had three dogs, and never did I go one week in my life not having a furry companion. Since I was 18 I moved out here in BC, and sadly could not support my own dog due to my 4on/4off work. Therefore I rely heavily on taking care of other dogs! Not only do I have a personal history with dogs, but I also work with K9 german shepherds in my professional field. I'm an incredibly active individual who lives a very clean and disciplined lifestyle. My place is big, smoke/drug free, and I'm always looking for some company! I would feel incredibly privileged and excited to spend a day or night walking, playing, adventuring, and cuddling (if he/she prefers) with your pup! My place is 1500sq/f and we have our own yard close to multiple parks so it is guaranteed your dog will have an excellent time! Please feel free to message me for any questions and/or concerns.

My son loves to play with them and keep them occupied so they will not feel lonely and ignored. The walks are fun when everyone is enjoying it, when it's not just a job or obligation but a family outing Your doggy can bathe in a bathtub with some basic grooming . A usual day will start with a long walk , watching TV and playing with a ball. A cuddle , a belly rub. A walk in the evening. Bathing and grooming when required. Hope to hear from you soon.

Dog owners and animal lovers. We love them all. We have a house and a fenced in yard. First was Mabel; a golden retriever, then Red Dog; a Rhodesian Ridgeback and then Mr. Higgins; a something something rescue. Currently we do not have a dog. We are going to get another dog, but due to upcoming travel plans we are going to wait. We are both runners if your dog needs that sort of exercise. We have two children. My husband works from home so there is usually someone home. We support various dog rescue organizations - SPCA and BAWA. Sorry, but no to aggressive dogs. Dogs must also be house trained.
Hi! My name is Elena and I am a huge dog lover. I previously owned 2 Alaskan Malamutes, giving me plenty of experience handling a combined 200lbs of amazing (but not always well behaved) canines! I believe in training with positive reinforcement and always make sure I and the pups get our daily exercise in. I have a house in Port Moody, and the dogs will have access to the whole upstairs. There is a very well-fenced yard, complete with dog houses, which the dogs will have access to any time. I work from home as a landscape designer nearly every day, so the dogs will get plenty of attention and pets! There are many great off-leash dog parks nearby, and a huge amount of on-leash trails. We'll find something appropriate no matter your furry friend's temperament.

Our dog, Buster, is a part of the family, we are happy to increase the puppy love in the house and take care of your pooch. Your four legged friend would join Buster on his morning walk that lasts for at least an hour, we like to walk the trails of Pacific Spirit Park or play on the many fields in our neighbourhood. An afternoon walk of about 30 minutes is also part of our routine and usually a little fetch on the field. Your dog is welcome throughout the house, upstairs or downstairs, wherever they find their comfy spot. When the weather is not wet Buster loves to relax on the deck and soak up some of the sunshine or lay on the grass, the deck door is usually wide open so dogs are welcome to move about with ease. Our dog loving family is made up of my husband and myself along with our 11 year old son, 8 year old daughter and 2 year old multigenerational Australia Labradoodle . We understand the need for your pets to be well cared for and loved so that you can enjoy your time away , we offer a comfortable, loving home for your pooch. We take lots of time for cuddles and will brush your pup in the evening if like Buster they require daily grooming. If possible we would love to meet you and your dog prior to dog sitting to be sure our dogs are compatible.
Hello, I work from home as a freelance web designer and am a life-long dog lover. I love all animals but have always had a special connection with dogs in particular. I live with my boyfriend, Daniel, who works full-time as a fitness and boxing instructor (and also loves dogs). We lost our beloved Ruby (a 20lb. Shelty cross) back in August of last year to old age. We miss her dearly and love welcoming the presence of a dog back into our home. We have all her old doggie toys, leash, food bowls etc. for any of our canine guests to use if needed. I will do my very best to make the separation from your pet a little easier for everyone by providing a fun, peaceful and loving place for them to stay. We can keep in contact as much or as little as you'd like and I'm always happy to keep you posted with plenty of videos/photos throughout their stay. I understand how hard it is to be separated from your pet but you can be sure that you're leaving them in good hands. I will keep them as happy and healthy as can be which will include lots of exercise, fresh air, playtime, comfy places to sleep/relax and plenty of tummy scratches too! I make my own schedule for work so I'll be able to give your dog lots of attention. We have many trails and dog parks within walking distance from our home or just a short drive away. Our house is located in a residential part of North Vancouver in the lower Lonsdale area. Local dog friendly walks that we frequent include the Mosquito Creek trails, Victoria Park and the Ambleside beach dog park. Both Dan and I are well practiced at managing all sorts of doggie temperaments and at keeping bad behaviours under control. Our philosophy on relating to and communicating with dogs is based on the "Marker Training" method which focuses on positive reinforcement. If you have any preferences or special needs for the care of your dog please provide me with the necessary instructions and I will see that everything is done accordingly. Dogs are family, and it is my pleasure and privilege to love and care for them. It is a responsibility I do not take lightly. We would love to welcome your dog into our home and family and do our very best to make them feel comfortable and loved while you are away. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hello - My name is Crystal. My husband and I are the proud parents of 3 daughters + 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback! I have always had dogs (38+ years) and really love spending time with them. I work from home which means I'm available for lots of daytime cuddles and walks. We have a few favourite parks such as Quilchena, but our favourite place to go is the UBC Endowment lands. It's a great place to stretch your legs, get some fresh air and spend quality time with our whole family. Until a short time ago, we had two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, however our old girl of 13 left us recently. Our younger dog is around 17 months and is a ball of energy - so we have experience with dogs from puppies all the way to seniors and have seen just about everything! We will provide a caring yet structured environment filled with fun and love. My girls have all grown up with dogs and absolutely love playing and training them...and don't forget the snuggles. They even built a dog obstacle course in our backyard over the summer! A typical day is the whole family getting up and having breakfast (dogs + kids), then a walk to school and back (about 45-60mins). Midday we would head out to a park for some off-leash time or for a walk in the neighbourhood. Depending on the afternoons activities, it might be a walk to go pick up the kids, or going to pick them up in the car and then heading to another off-leash park. Then its home and dinner time. We would end the evening with another leash walk. Weekends always include long walks at UBC. Our backyard is fully fenced and dogs can be outside or inside while we are at home depending on what they feel like. Our pup is bell trained, so she rings when she has to go outside, but often she enjoys hanging out in the yard and playing with her toys and a companion would be most welcome! Hazel gets along really well with other dogs and is extremely tolerant and even tempered. We do require all dogs who stay with us to be housebroken and prefer dogs who do not bark a lot. We run a bed and breakfast in our basement suite and noisy dogs can disturb our human guests. If we don't have a b&b booking then we are less concerned about this. We can discuss this at the time you make a booking request. I'm happy to chat further about any questions or concerns you may have!

My name is Mariska. I am a mom to 3 (teen)kids. And we have been actively dog sitting for the past 3 years. We have looked after over 60 dogs in this time period. We have gotten to know all kinds of different personalities and breeds. The dogs have brought a lot of joy to our house! In our house your dog will get lots of attention, because we are a family of 5! We have a fenced in yard, so your dog can play outside as much as he/she wants. I am able to walk your dog upto 3 times a day. We prefer to only look after 1 dog at the time, unless the dogs come from the same household. This way we don't have to worry if the dogs don't get along and we can give the one dog our full attention. We are open to a meet and greet before the actual stay will find place. We live in East Vancouver, near the PNE. Here are a few examples of what people have said about us: Nara Z. November 29, 2017 Mariska and her family are so nice! My dog has stayed with the family many times. We had great experience with them! Rob F. May 5, 2017 We were extremely fortunate to have our border collie stay with Mariska and family while we attended a 4 day conference in Vancouver. They spent lots of time with her in their yard, took her out for adventurous walks in the large park nearby and gave her lots of love! Alexandra W. April 29, 2017 A few days before my trip, my dogs foot became infected so I was hesitant to leave him at a boarding facility and decided to leave him with Mariska and her family instead and I am so glad I chose them! They were very diligent with the medication he had to take and when I came back, his foot was completely healed. I appreciate all the care and love he got while I was away, and he is very excited to go back and see you and your family again! Brenda G. April 16, 2017 A big thank you to Mariska and her family for taking good care of our puppy Randal ! She only had him for two nights but sent us a picture and a nice text message both days . A very nice touch . I will certainly use her again! Marie L. April 3, 2017 Mariska and her family are so wonderful! I have 2 seniors with special needs, and a playful pug. My guys are so happy when they get to her house and I feel that they don't want to leave lol. Mariska is very kind and patient, sends pictures and updates. For a worry wart like myself, this helps so much! Her house is so cozy and welcoming, and also has a fenced yard so the pups can have lots of fresh air and grass. There is always someone to play with or cuddle with at her home. I highly recommend Mariska!
I have 2 rescue dogs. One I adopted from Animal Advocates and the other in Hong Kong when I worked there. I spent a lot of time in Hong Kong training dogs for neighbours and friends. I've always had rescue dogs and spend a lot of time training and hiking with them. I dog sit for friends and family. My dogs are well socialized and spend time with their dog friends at the local dog park. They go everywhere with me even on holidays. They love people and dogs alike. We hike at least once a day and spend an hour at the dog park with their friends. My dogs are spoiled and have the run of the house. Mickey my lab cross goes to work with me and spends many happy hours playing with clients kids. I will be working at their house and she will lounging on the couch with the kids and going for walks too. Sometimes she's having so much fun it takes a few minutes to encourge her to come home with me. I love dogs and one day would like to train as a veterinary assitant. I would like to train and hike dogs too. In the future I will be taking my dog CPR certification. I would be happy to have your dogs at my home and my two dogs will be glad to make new friends.

Hi there, Yanyi & Steven here, proud parents of a 2-year-old corgi named Wiggle. We live in New Westminster and both work in downtown Vancouver, so we can only dog-sit during the weekend or holidays or on our WFH Wednesdays. When the weather is OK, we love going hiking/snowshoeing & long walks with our dog, he has been to almost every dog-friendly mountains & trails in the metro Vancouver area. We like to take tons of photos & videos and sometimes we put together a 1-min video of each adventure to post on Instagram (@corgiwiggle), so if your dog stays with us, we'll sure to send you many photos & videos! There is a big lawn field right in front of our place where we play fetch everyday, and the enclosed dog area in Queen's Park is only 7-min walk away.

We are an energetic, responsible couple with extensive experience with dogs! Masha currently works at an established doggy daycare in the Metro-Vancouver area. We live right across the street from a big fenced-in dog park, and we go there often with our pug and whoever is visiting us at the time. We have taken care of many dogs in many different places over the years, relying on word-of-mouth for new clients, but have just recently found out about this site. We have worked with dogs of all ages and temperaments, as well as senior dogs and high-maintenance dogs requiring round the clock care and/or medication. We specialize in administering medication, eye drops/lube, shots, etc., to doggies. The two of us take turns caring for the doggies, so they will never be left alone for long; you can think of it as a two-people-for-the-price-of-one deal! We put great care and passion into doggy-sitting, treating each visitor as one of our own. Let us welcome your pup into our family, even if it's just for the day, and you will have the peace of mind that comes from knowing your fur-baby is in loving and responsible hands! *** Please note that we may be available during the work week as well as weekends, depending on the dog. Please let us know in advance via message if you need to book Mon-Fri (unless you are a return client, then there's no need to contact us). Thank you!
My name is Luz and I am a digital marketer at a local sustainable design company with a pet-friendly office. I moved to Vancouver 7 years ago to attend UBC and had to leave my best friend in Peru. Her name is Croqueta and she is the most energetic and lovable 13-year-old Miniature Pinscher you’ll ever meet :) I miss playing, spoiling and just spending time with her so I would be more than happy to take care of your four-legged bff. Having grown up with Croqueta, I've learned to administer different types of medicine, deal with all kinds of emergencies, understand dog needs and create instant and strong connections. Either at my office, my apartment or the outdoors, your dog and I will definitely have the best time together!
Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC, Canada
My name is Vincent McClelland, I am 25 years old and pursuing a masters in Goetechnical Engineering at UBC. My partner Dina and I love dogs, and would love to own a dog, however do not have the time consistently to give a dog the attention that he/she deserves. I have been a dog owner for my entire life. My family has continually owned 1 to 2 yellow labs at a time, and taken care of 1 to 3 of our neighbors dogs on a consistent basis. Growing up our house usually had anywhere from 1 to 5 dogs at a time! I am experienced with energetic puppies, older, less mobile dogs and rescues. I have experience crate and house training puppies. Dina and I are both young and have a lot of energy to take care of a dog! Dina and I live in a pet friendly apartment in Kitsilano 5 or 6 blocks from Kits beach and a short walk to the dog beach. The apartment does not have outdoor space, however we would truly enjoy taking (a) dog(s) on walks down to the beach - it would be a terrific excuse to go watch the sunset more often. We are both active, love the outdoors and jump at any opportunity to get outside. If we feel that we are too busy to care of a dog, we will not take the dog in. In general, if we were to watch after a dog we would try to get the dog some exercise, whether it be playing fetch, swimming, running, hiking or going on a walk (provided that the dog's owner is okay with these activities). As a previous owner of labs I am very cognizant of leaving food out. We would never feed a dog table scraps or food any food other than dog food/treats. Dina and I are used to feeding dogs on a routine basis (usually 2 meals, 6 am 6 pm) and can adjust this schedule to whatever the owner would like. We have a Subaru which we can use to pick up/drop off a dog if necessary.
I am a mid 30s single professional that is lucky enough to share my home with a 2 year old Pekingese. I work from home and live right across from a park! Fernando (Furdi my Peke) and I hit the sea wall and the Kitts dog beach every day for exercise and if your dog loves to run, even better! My last dog, Chester the pug passed away at nearly 16 and gave me a great deal of experience caring for a senior dog with everything from meds, to stroller rides. I am a super early riser and love to go for morning runs or hikes to catch the sun before starting my work day. If you have an active dog thats great on trails both on or off leash, they won't miss a beat with me! Depending on the distance, Furdi sometimes decides to skip these and catch a few extra zzzzzzzzz but I am always back home by 8:00am. :D Our home is quiet but playful and full of snuggles. Up until recently I was based in a dog friendly office so Furdi us used to much more action and furry friends than we see now that I am home. We would love to welcome visitors to help keep us on our toes!
Hi! We are Emanuele and Liliana. We live downtown right next to Stadium skytrain station. Liliana is from Peru and Emanuele is from Italy. We both grew up in our countries with dogs and we miss them very much! Liliana grew up with a Golden Retriever and Emanuele had 2 German Shepards which he trained. We love to take care of friends' dogs when they are out of town; smaller dogs such as Shih Tzus or Toy Poodle, medium size Labradoodles and as big as Bernese Mountain (at our friend's place, not ours). We take the dogs to the dog park in Yaletown and Crosstown as well as walking them along the sea wall. We love to pamper dogs and our schedules allow us to take turns in walking the dogs more times a day than one of us would be able to. For an extra cost depending from the distance, we can pick-up the dog wherever you are up to around 50 km. We normally get drop offs after work around 6pm and pick ups are before work by 9am. Please let us know if you need to pick up or drop off a different times and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Thank you!
I love dogs. I like to say hello to and if possible, pet every dog I meet. I have a medium size Shepherd mix, who is very easy-going. I met him when he was two and have had him for 10 years. We like to go for a 30 - 60 Minute walk everyday in the late afternoon, as well as morning and evening breaks. I have been bringing my roommate's dog with me on our outings for over 2 years, but sadly they have moved away. I can accommodate the smallest of dogs up to about 80 lbs, if they're short little legs can't walk that far, I can carry them for part of the outing. I am looking forward to having your furry friend on our adventures and I will make sure they get all the rubs behind the ears they need. Trevor

Hi there! I've had pets all my life, and for once, am pet-less. I was going to sign up for some dog walking at the SPCA or VOKRA (kittens!). Then I ran across DogVacay (now Rover), and thought it would be a fun way to get some more pet-time. But it’s a US company, so when I recently found this site, I thought it would be great to try out a Vancouver based group. We've loved all the dogs that have stayed with us and even more when they come back for another visit! We are a block away from Trout Lake park, lots of running around room, beach walks, fenced backyard and spacious apartment. I work from home, and love the company and opportunity to take breaks for walks and playtime. We share the house, so better if they're not super-barkers in consideration of our downstairs neighbour. See you and your dog soon! We can't wait to meet you both.
I work from home and have a very flexible schedule so I have lots of free time to walk and sit dogs and cats. Overnight stays are welcome too. We (with my husband who loves dogs!!) have a small and cozy Yaletown apartment. I do have a very active 40 lbs. German Sheperd-Belgian Malinois female dog as well who gets along excellently with other dogs/cats. I love animals, so well assured that your pet will be loved and care for a lot while they are with me. :) It would be nice for my dog to have a playmate as well from time to time. If chosen, my walks would usually be for a good 15-20 minute walks around the city. We also have a gated dog park (Emery Barnes) right next to our apartment. Home stays would include a lot of cuddling. :)

Hello! I'm a dog lover who unfortunately can't have one due to my travels. I'm excited to work with all breeds; big and small. I have very flexible availability to suit your needs. I will never have more than 1 dog at a time when offering boarding services so I can promise undivided attention. I'm physically fit and happy to run and play with your dog, no matter their size. I live very close to a dog park and the seawall, so there's plenty of space for that! You can expect me to walk and jog with your dog on the seawall, around Fairview and at Charleson Park as well as lots of play time with their favourite toys. Bed time will be in the master bedroom, but not on the bed. There is also some fenced outdoor ground level space at my home which is pet, smoke and drugs free. We can play fetch there and have some safe outdoor fun off leash. My building complex is a housing co-op, so we have rules prohibiting me from having dog clients over 50 lbs. However, if you're looking for a sitter in your home, I love the larger breeds too. I'm very vigilant of what dogs eat, so you can feel confident that your pet will be safe while in my care. Did I mention that I love dogs?
Hello! My names Reyes, I'm a 21 year old student who loves dogs with a passion! I've owned and cared for dogs my entire life, featuring a 14 year old Jack Russel Terrier and a 1 year old foster German Shepherd! I've sat and walked many friends dogs and im currently waiting to foster some adoptable dogs and plan to adopt soon myself! I have never not gotten along with a dog, I have read many behaviour books and have experience with positive reinforcement training. On your pups stay with me, there will be playtime, nap time, and walks every 3-4 hours, one of which will be a trail walk or a visit to a park. After some free roaming time in the yard or around the house, I'll tire em out with some more play until it is time to settle down with some cuddles and dinner. If they aren't home the next morning, then repeat!

I am a kind and caring dog lover, here to help you care for your furry friend. I have been dog sitting for the past 7 years and have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. I am extremely active and am happy taking your dog out for as many walks as required - on or off leash, whatever you prefer. I also have references if you would like to contact one of my clients regarding my dog sitting experience. My schedule has recently changed and I now work a typical 8 hour work day on weekdays, so please keep this in mind if your dog requires more attention during the day. That said, if your pup is accustomed to being alone during the day Monday - Friday, I am more than happy to spend my evenings and weekends playing and exercising with them.
Hi! I'm a mature, responsible and reliable animal lover who is available to look after your small dog when needed. I am eager to learn about your dog's needs and how I can assist you. I was blessed to have a wonderful dog named Buddy for 17 years (chihuahua-terrier). He was my best bud and companion. I would treat your precious pet with the same love, affection and respect. I have recently retired and am devoting my time to my passion which is caring for animals. I have over 17 years' of experience in lovingly raising and caring for dogs. I enjoy their company immensely and they will have my attention along with lots of cuddles and enjoyable walks at their pace. I can provide daycare and short/long-term boarding for small, friendly, house-trained dogs (2 max.) in my comfortable townhouse in Surrey-Fleetwood. There are a number of lovely parks nearby for long walks. Let's get together to discuss your needs and expectations. I can pick up and drop off dogs with carriers or seat belt harnesses. Safety first! Preferred areas: Surrey, White Rock and Langley. Looking forward to meeting you and your pal!
Hello! My name is EmaLee Rains, I am 25 years old and have always had dogs in my life. I grew up with a Mastiff/ Great Dane mix that was a gentle giant, a German Shepherd who was the chubbiest from his litter and a stout little snowball who was a Cocker Spaniel, Poodle and Corgi mix. I have always been a dog person and love going on adventures with my pup who is 5 as of January 22nd. I have met a lot of fantastic and adventurous people through my trails with my pup. Dogs are excellent ice breakers when meeting new people. I find that I have more motivation to get out of the house and go explore because I have my dog to enjoy it with.... also I love nature photography and my dog tends to be the model more often then the wildlife. I love the training process, I have found it rewarding and always enjoy showing off how smart the pup is, whether its my own pup or my friend who has thought there dog is too old to learn something new. I am very in tune with the needs of the animal I am responsible for and as much as I would love to give them treats all day and spoil them I don't. I understand that this creature is in the hands of humans and it depends on the love and responsibilities of us humans. Just like children they need guidance and moderation. Except for when it comes to cuddles, they can have as many cuddles as they want! Depending on your pets daily routine, I usually like to go outside, hiking or just an easy walk. I keep a strict diet for my own dog as he has many allergies. He is given a bath right away if hes dirty from an adventure (Pet smart is fantastic for this and only cost's $10). My pup loves our day end couch cuddles watching our latest Netflix show and impromptu dance parties when i'm cleaning the house. Our cat is older and we need to give her insulin shots every 12 hours and is also on a strict diet. Our cat has taught our pup what bubble space is and he respects it at all costs. They are very similar to Garfield and Odie. Let me know what you expect or what your pet is accustomed to and I can cater to your needs. I have a high respect for each individuals process and routine. If you are interested I unfortunately don't have availability week days. Overnight stay availability starts Friday anytime after 6 p.m and ends Monday @ 6 a.m sharp. Full day availability Saturday-Sunday. Unfortunately I work Monday-Friday and can't be home, sorry for any inconvenience.
Hi, I'm Josh and I'd love to spend time caring for your little furry family member! I work from home and really enjoy having a dog around. My partner and I travel quite a bit so having one of our own isn't really feasible at this point, but luckily I'm able to have a dog around quite often when we are in town thanks to this platform! There is a dog park area not too far from here where we can spend some socializing and otherwise I'm an active/fit guy and have no problem going for walks around the neighbourhood (including down to the Seawall). I will only take on one dog at a time (or two if from the same family) so I can give the best care/experience possible, and your dog should be small since I'm in a loft apartment. There is a large patio though and your dog will be allowed out there when the weather permits, anywhere on the main floor (including on the couch), and even upstairs if he/she likes. I'll send you photos of walks and resting while keeping you updated on how things are going so you can rest easy knowing that your dog is being well cared for and having a nice stay with me at my place! Please note that although I did take some younger puppies and larger ones in the past I'm now only accepting small dogs that are at least 2 years old. If I haven't taken care of your dog before please book a half or full day of Doggy Daycare to take place before the first overnight stay. This will be a chance for your dog to get to know me, go for a walk together, and to get familiar with my place before having an extended stay. I look forward to hearing from you and taking care of your little fur baby like he/she is my own!
My name is Sebastienne Carroll, most people call me "Seby" for short. I am 23 years old and I absolutely love spending time with animals especially dogs. I'm a very fun loving high energetic person, I walk everywhere and spend a lot of my time outdoors. I love to spend time at the park or beach anytime of year and I think my lifestyle is perfectly suited for a dog too. I grew up in Vancouver and have loved dogs since a young age, its something that many people remember me by. I've always been the typeof person eager to volunteer any kind help looking after or walking dog's of family and friend's. A typical day with and a pup would be a nice long walk probably to the park where we can play some catch with a ball or favourite toy. Then back to home for a large drink of water especially if we weren't able to get some at the park, and then we might relax at home a bit together and do any little things that I can to make sure the pup is comfortable at their home away from home for the time being. Pup will get fed and then we will go outside for a bathroom break or maybe another short walk depending, and the day will come to a close happy and tired.
Hi! My name is Alyssa and I am 24 years old, happily sharing a home with a loving boyfriend, and we are lovers of all animals. I work part time at a bridal shop, and would love to spend my free time providing the most loving and hands on care to dogs of any age. I grew up with a family dog, his name was Tigger. He was a mixed breed with a bit of Jack Russel and Corgi in him. He was a very energetic and adventurous dog and we spent many days running around and playing together. He was my friend and most trusted confidant. Hunter, my boyfriend, grew up with a Great Pyrenees cross named Clifford, who thought himself to be a lap dog regardless of his size and my boyfriend misses him dearly. We both miss the rewarding feelings the friendship of a dog brings to a home, and our home is very pet friendly! I write as a hobby, so I love taking walks for inspiration and clarity, and would love to take a furry friend along on these walks. We could take a walk down to the boardwalk at New Westminster Quay, which ends at an off the leash dog park! Head back home for some cuddles and snacks, and then take a jog around Queen's Park nearby (which also just so happens to have an off the leash dog park!) Play a little catch maybe in one of the many often vacant fields. If your puppy enjoys making new friends, I can easily set up a playdate with my Sister-in-Law and her adorable Frenchie, who is a ball of energy. My boyfriend owns a small business and works most evenings, so the company would be very welcomed and tended to, and we could take a night time walk to meet him down at the skytrain station... New Westminster station also has a dog park right behind it. Whether your puppy prefers downtime and an abundant amount of petting and love, or is happier being constantly active, I am ready and willing to dote on them! *** I work every Saturday, and will be working every Sunday starting in January - my boyfriend will be home for most of the morning, but from 1pm to 5pm no one will be home, therefor weekdays might be preferable if your dog isn't okay left alone for 4 hours ***

Hi! This is Rodrigo. I am an animal lover whit plenty of experience taking care of dogs since I have 4 back in Spain and my mother owns a kind of Airbnb for dogs and cats in our house. I love long walks with dogs, I believe they are the best company for that!! My house is big and we have a great backyard where your best friend can play if the weather is good. Also, there is a big park across the street as you can see in the pictures, perfect for walk and play!! and a 24hrs Vet is just around the corner. If I am free it would be a pleasure for me being your dog sitter!!!

Hi my name is Amanda, I am an energetic, outgoing and happy dog lover/owner. *due to my current living situation Im not able to take your pets week nights* I have 8 years of dog sitting experience as I had 2 dogs growing up. They both have lived long happy lives. I give each and every dog I meet and take care of lots of love and attention. I also have a cat named George (4 years old) who loves to run and play outside, but also enjoys to cuddle inside. I would be thrilled to visit clients pup(s) for a long walk, play, and feed until He/she is content. Since I work full time I am available for Daycare on the weekends only. I look forward to meeting clients and playing with lots of pups in the future!
I am an active, responsible, patient dog lover looking to meet some furry friends! We owned 2 shih tzus (Willie and Bella) when my kids were growing up and also fostered dogs. My work is quite flexible so you can be assured that your pup will never be alone for longer than a few hours at a time. I enjoy travelling so having a dog of my own is not in the cards right now so this is the perfect opportunity for me to have a canine companion and make your life easy while you are away. I love nothing more than coming home and unwinding from the day by going to a long leisurely stroll and playing with a pup. There is a lot of love in my life for pets so if you are looking for an enthusiastic dog lover to take care of your fur baby when you are away then look no further- you found me! When my kids were very young my family had a black lab/german shepherd names Brandy. She was rambunctious! Then we got Willie and Bella so I am used to having little pups running around. We also fostered may pups, including a chihuahua and a golden retriever. I am comfortable with dogs on a leash (even if they like to pull or aren't the best with other dogs). I am very flexible with special requirements for diet and walking schedules.
Hello! I'm Devin and I live with my husband Max in a quiet apartment in North Vancouver. We live right next to a park and both love going for walks and exploring the city and surrounding mountains! I am finishing my training to be a family doctor and Max is an environmental planner who works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in major cities. We have a happy life and the only thing we are missing right now is a pet friend to join us for some company! I wasn't fortunate enough to grow up with a dog as my family moved around a lot but I have always loved dog sitting for friends and family. Max and I used to care for his wonderful dog named Maggie who unfortunately passed away a couple years ago. Max grew up with Maggie from 6 months old until she turned 17! I used to do daily dog physio with her after walks because her legs bothered her in the later part of her life. We have been waiting until our schedules keep us in one city before committing to be full-time pet owners and when I found this option to help look after other people's dogs we were thrilled!! We do have a busy life but when we aren't traveling or working we love being home and exploring the local mountains on hikes and snowshoe adventures. We both work during the weekdays but your pup would have a nice walk before the day starts, a walk right after work and again before bed. Of course playing and cuddles and love are sprinkled throughout!

Hi there! My name is Kevin but most people know me as daddy to @Leelathecorgi . I am a Pet First Aid Certified and Pet CPR Certified dog walker/pet sitter. I only provide one-on-one dog walks and dog sitting to ensure your dog receives the highest quality service with tons of attention and socialization. With me, you can rest assured that your pet's safety is always my #1 priority and that should an emergency occur, I will have the training to deal with it promptly. In addition, I live in 2 minutes driving distance from a 24/7 pet emergency hospital to deal with any emergencies should they arise. Since I was 5 years old I've always lived around dogs large and small. During my 6 years in Thailand, I rescued and founds homes for dozens of street dogs and worked with local veterinarians to provide vaccination for temple dogs. I've also been dog walking/dog sitting for the past 8 years in Thailand, South Korea, and in Canada. I take my dogs out 4 times a day to deal with their business and walk them for 30-60 minutes 2-3 times a day depending on how much work I have. I focus on private one-on-one dog walks to ensure each dog receives the same high quality walks and plenty of attention and socialization. This is because dogs thrive when they are given both physical and mental stimulation. When I have to leave the house, I like to set up hidden games with treats so that my dogs can get the mental stimulation they need while they "hunt" for the treats scattered across our home.

Heya! Thanks for checking us out! First and foremost, Julia and I are dedicated to making sure your dog has a LOVING, safe and stress-free time here at our apartment. In fact, we like to think that your pet's time here is a resort-like experience.. You'll discover our service is premium and we will treat your pet as if it were our own. Generally, we prefer to have just one dog - our max is three in case we get siblings and want to add one more to the mix. But if you prefer for us to just sit for your dog only - that's fine just let us know. We require a meet and greet for all of our doggie guests. Our schedule is flexible so it'll be easy to set up! We live a few minutes from Emery Barnes Park in Yaletown and Nelson Park in West End - both have off-leash areas. Your dog will love the neighborhood and make new friends in the parks. We will also play with your dog - fetch, hide and seek or chase - whichever helps them get a hefty dose of rigorous exercise. This is best for your dog and the most effective way to mitigate stress. A tired dog = a happy dog. We love helping parents out when they have to go out of town. We understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. We are incredibly detail-oriented and thoughtful pet sitters. When you return, you can expect a full download verbal report of all the nuances we've observed about your beloved doggie. A bit about us: I would say we are not only pet lovers, we are pet enthusiasts. Ailton I quit the corporate live to dedictate myself in creating a business that had an impact in the life of pets. I launched 9BARKS a pet-friendly eCommerce business that turns your pet pictures into unique portraits. The business goal is to create a lifestyle that allows me a flexible time to volunteer, foster & promote animal well-being. I'm achieving this goal by voluntering for TDIAO - Thank you Dog I am Out, raising money for BC SPCA & fostering kittens from VOKRA - Vancouver Orphan Kittens Rescue Organization. Julia I am a health-care project consultant and dog-lover. I love all things dogs, cuddling (with dogs), running (with dogs), reading (with dogs--if they want), watching movies (with, you guessed -- dogs). Generally just am the happiest when hanging out with a gaggle of pups. I support TDIAO, BC SPCA and really happy to help the little kittens from VOKRA. I do not stay home from 9 to 5, but will love to play and hangout with your fur baby in the evening and in the weekends! Our services: - Multiple walks per day out in the parks and neighborhood. - A calm, relaxing chill place to sleep - Plenty affection and love - Photos and videos and updates so you can relax and know your doggie is in excellent care. Other considerations and things to know: - Ailton works from home and have a flexible schedule but we do structure our time. Please be communicative on your pick up and drop off time. - We currently foster 2 kittens that will stay in their own room during your dog stay. - If you want your dog to be the only dog, that is totally doable! After the meet and greet we will work out a custom quote. - If you have a senior dog or one that needs medication or has special care instructions - we are thorough and detail oriented - All dogs must have current vaccinations, be FLEA free and be fully house trained (puppies on a case by case basis). - Please bring your own doggie bed. I have blankets if needed. - We will adhere to the commands you have in place for your dog. - If you feel your dog would be better in a crate, please provide one. - At this time, we are only comfortable taking dogs who are good with other dogs unless you’ve indicated that you’d like your dog to be solo here. Pick up and drop offs: *** All overnights are a 24 hour period with a two hour grace period. So if you drop of at 11 AM you will want to pick up by 1 PM on the day you choose. If you want to extend beyond the grace period, then we charge the regular daycare rate and you have the flexibility of picking your pup at a later time. Please be clear on drop off and pick up times. A typical day for us with your dog: Morning exercise, training and hide and seek. Then a little family breakfast, followed by lots of love and a snooze. Lots of pee breaks and romps throughout the day followed by dinner. When the evening gets cold, we snuggle up in front of the tv and watch a movie or show. This would be followed by a late night pee break, a treat if allowed, and then a tuck in.Then a final smooch good night as our eyelids get heavy and we dream of bones falling from the sky. It's pretty fun being here... If you think you’re dog would be a good match with us, we’d love to meet her or him. Please message me and we can set something up. Thank you so much for considering us. We love dogs...and all other sentient beings. Ailton and Julia

My name is Joana and I am a third-year student at UBC. I absolutely love dogs and the only thing holding me back from getting one myself is the lack of pet-friendly rentals in Vancouver. I currently live in Kitsilano in a pet-friendly suite with a fully fenced, dog proof backyard but I know it wouldn't be responsible to commit to 10-15 years with a dog of my own without having a permanent pet-friendly home. There are no other pets or children in the household. I live quite close to several parks as well as Jericho beach so your dog would get plenty of exercises. I'm an experienced dog owner. I had an American Eskimo dog for 12 years until he passed away due to cancer. Near the end, I took care of him with bathing, medicine and limited mobility issues. Since then, I've taken care of several other dogs when family friends go on vacations. American Eskimos are quite fluffy so I'm used to heavy shedding, high energy and barking. Please let me know if there's any other information you would want to know about me and perhaps we can arrange a time for a meet and greet!
